Doctor's Desk

Science based, naturally focused, whole person healthcare.

Wellness is not a state of being, it is a state of action.

Meet Laurie

Naturopathic Doctor

Laurie has been practicing Naturopathic Medicine with children, adults, and families across the Greater Toronto Area since 2011.  In addition to working one-on-one with children and adults she actively promotes wellness in her community through educational workshops, speaking engagements, and special events.  Her approach to one-on-one care is collaborative providing tools and learn-able skills for people who want to be active participants in their health.  Her treatment strategies are uniquely derived through her joint efforts with you to understand how you, or your child, thrive.

As a Naturopathic Doctor, Laurie's medical perspective is rooted in understanding how all body systems work together and can influence each other translating to whole person care.  Her treatments emphasize evidence based therapies (including herbal medicine, nutrient supplements, and traditional chinese medical acupuncture) that support the body's natural healing abilities as opposed to suppressing symptoms or disease.  With this in mind, Laurie offers a compassionate and supportive space to explore your various concerns including, but not limited to: digestion, nutrition, hormones, immune function, mental health, sleep, chronic pain, headaches, skin, allergies, vision, energy/fatigue, pregnancy, post-partum, pediatric, and pediatric mental health.

When she is not with patients, Laurie loves hanging with her family, playing outside, formulating botanical recipes for personal and professional use, staying active, embracing down time, laughing with friends, making things with her hands, preparing and eating yummy food with family and friends, and challenging herself to continuously learn and grow.
